Necessary documents:

To enter the European Union, a valid and admissible passport is required.

Vaccination :

No vaccination is obligatory.

Language:

The official spoken language in Italy is Italian. English and French are also spoken most everywhere.

Time difference:

6 hours more respectively to Montreal, Quebec and Toronto.

Climate:

The climate is generally temperate. Dry and hot from April to the end of October. The temperature varies between 13 at night and 27 degrees during the day.
Humid and moderate for the period of February to the end of March, with daily variations going from 10°C the night to 24°C the day.

Electric energy:

220 Volts, an adaptor is necessary for small electrical appliances.

Taxes and gratuities:

They are always included in the prices in stores, restaurants, cafes and the bars.

Credit cards:

The main credit cards accepted are Visa and MasterCard

Currency & banks:

The local currency is the Euro. The banks are open from Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 13.30. Automatic banking networks are available (Cirrus and Plus System) in which you will be able to access your bank account.

Transfers:

Transfers according to the itinerary, are done by coach and hydrofoil

Shopping:

Most stores are open Monday to Saturday from 9.30 to 13.00 and from 16.30 to 20.30

Purchases:

Clothes, shoes, leather goods, and jewelry constitute the best purchases to make in Italy

Rooms:

All hotels and residences are of category three and four stars with independent bathroom, air-conditioning, and most are situated in the downtown area
